A: Stand-up comedy is a style of performance in which a comedian delivers jokes, stories, and humorous observations directly to an audience, usually while standing on a stage with a microphone. It often involves personal anecdotes, social commentary, improvisation, and audience interaction. The goal is simple: to make people laugh through a performer’s unique perspective and comedic style.
A: People watch Candy Comedy because we offer a fun, engaging way to relax and laugh. Candy Comedy shows can provide stress relief, boost mood, and offer a fresh perspective on everyday life. Many enjoy the relatability of comedians' stories, the creativity of their humor, and the feeling of connection that comes from shared laughter. It’s also a form of entertainment that lets people explore different viewpoints, culture, and experiences in an enjoyable and lighthearted way.
A: Our shows are recommended M15+, as there may be adult language and themes. However, many of the venues we work with are 18+, so we encourage you to check directly with each venue for their specific entry policy.
A: You do not have to pre-buy tickets, as we can take payment at the door. However, many of our shows sell out, so we strongly recommend purchasing tickets in advance to avoid missing out. Tickets can be purchased here.
A: Of course! Once everyone has purchased their tickets, just get in touch with us and provide the names, number of people in your group, and a table booking name. We’ll make sure you’re seated together.
A: We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. If you can’t attend, just let us know, we can offer you a credit, exchange your ticket for another show, or in special circumstances, provide a refund.
A: You’re more than welcome to take as many photos as you like. We do ask that you tag Candy Comedy, the venue, and the comedian, though this is appreciated, it’s not compulsory. Videos, however, are not allowed due to copyright reasons. Please respect the comedian’s intellectual property (their performance).
A: We can tailor a comedy show to suit your venue’s needs and budget. Get in touch with us, and we’ll work with you to create a customised show that meets all your requirements.
A: We’re always looking for more comedians! Get in touch with us, and we’ll work to find a suitable show where you can jump on stage and make people laugh.
A: We run regular open mic shows that are a great place to begin. There’s no pressure, the audiences are incredibly supportive, and the sense of camaraderie is strong. You’ll feel welcome and have a lot of fun. All you need to get started is 5 minutes of original material.
